I've always wanted to but for the longest time, Canada was not included in the Michelin guide. Last year all of that changed and we received 10 awards so naturally I had to try and get a reservation in and try one 🙈
I ended up booking a table at Masayoshi for my two high school best friends' birthdays. I tried to vlog it but because we sat at the bar in front of the chef I was too embarrassed to film the entire time so this isn't really a traditional vlog. I hope it's still enjoyable to watch though 🥺
Here are some close up photos of the food. Everything was delicious so carefully and thoughtfully prepared. I would definitely go again but probably just for a special occasion because it was quite pricey (I think it as ~$250/person)

For makeup I wanted to try out my new Natasha Denona palette so I came up with this glitter cut crease situation. I'm usually not a fan of carved out eyeshadow looks but I really liked how this turned out! I was also practicing more with they eyelid tape and I think this was one of the best applications I've done so far 😎

I felt super cute with this makeup!! I feel like it's one of those looks where you're like "I'll never be this cute again" 😭 Do you have any of those kinds of looks? I'd love to see them!!
My outfit was inspired by Chanel! I tried my best to mimic the feel by playing with heavier fabric textures and pearl/crystal detailing. I love that this bougie preppy style is so popular right now,
I feel like runway looks are always so inspiring but sometimes very difficult to adapt for consumer wear. Having it be a little more mainstream or popular means more inspiration and references to look at and analyze so I guess I should really thank kpop idol stylists for this one 😂
What do you think? I know it's not a very conventional "gyaru way" of dressing but I'm trying to find a way to dress that's uniquely for me. I've never felt comfortable claiming any which gyaru substyle so I think this is just an extension of that~
Plus idk I tend to dress for the vibe I'm feeling that day so being labeled a certain substyle makes me feel too restricted. More often than not my vibe changes on a day to day basis so I rarely really dress the same between days. Does anyone else relate to this at all? 🤔
Anyways, thank you so much for reading today. I hope you found the vlog and post enjoyable! I've still got a handful of backlog posts to get through so I appreciate your patience. I'm actually cooking up some resource posts on the side as well so I promise there's lots of good content coming very soon 💖
Take care and I'll see you next time 💕
I came back to your blog for some inspo & reading this last paragraph, wow, I can totally relate to that. I really adore the Chanel inspired outfit, it's my personal favourite <3
ReplyDeleteAww thank you so much angel! I find it really weird people get so fixated on substyles in this fashion. It's a good starting point if you have no reference or if you don't know how to dress yourself in general but once you understand the rules and concepts I think experimenting is the most fun part!
DeleteLovely outfit and gorgeous makeup (as always~). And nonsense saying "you'll never be this cute again". You're always this cute ٩(♡ε♡)۶ hehe~
ReplyDeleteThe food looks so cool. I've never been to a Michelin star restaurant before. Looks like a really nice experience!
Aww you're so sweet angel, thank you so much 🥺💖
DeleteI thought it was a very nice experience, the service was incredible and the food was delicious. Definitely not for everyone, especially if you don't enjoy how over-the-top some of these places can be but once in a while it's a nice thing to try!
