✿Sakura Creamy✿ Palty Hairdye Review

Hi everyone! I recently colored my hair since my roots were growing out a lot. I didn't want to go to a salon because money has been tight since I moved out. I decided to go back to the box dyes and just do it myself. I didn't really want any of the colors in the Palty Foam Hairdye line (which I've done a review on, you can see it here and here) so I decided to try the original dye line.
I picked out the color Sakura Creamy. I wanted something less ashy so I figured a warmer color like this would be nice for the summer. I picked these up from a local Pricesmart for about $12-13/box. I needed 4 boxes because my roots were so long and my hair is crazy thick, which surprisingly enough still came up cheaper than if I went to a salon Q__Q (I was quoted something along the lines of $120??? Like whatttt)

Here's what my hair looked like before the application
As you can see it's pretty dark. You can barely even see where it's actually colored lol. I don't know why I always wait this long to get my hair done ;^;

Anyways, I applied the dye to my roots and let it sit for about ~45 minutes or so. Then I went over all my hair with the remaining amount of dye and let that sit for ~20 minutes before rinsing everything out. Here are the results!
I was quite surprised at how well the color turned out! As you can see, my hair is much more vibrant and lively than it was in the before pictures. Time for the review!
Coverage/Colour: ♥♥♥♥♥
As always, I am extremely impressed with Palty's color and coverage. It covered my roots flawlessly and revived the color on the rest of my hair.

Packaging: ♥♥♥♥
Gotta love the traditional squeeze bottle that hair dyes come with. Everything was cute, and easy to use. The instructions were in English too!

Price: ♥♥♥♥♥
Super affordable, even though I bought 4 boxes the total was still around ~$50 after tax. If you grab them while they're on sale I think they go for around ~$9-10 a box.

Overall Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
Love love love this product so much! I think I might even prefer this over the foam line because it's a lot less easier to apply with the squeeze bottle (just shake up the product inside and apply!). The color payoff is gorgeous and it's very affordable. I highly recommend you guys check these out. I know they've been out for a while now but if you haven't tried them yet, you really should~ You can find these dyes at any Asian supermarket such as T&T!
Thank you guys so much for reading! I hope you found this informative and helpful <3 Catch you guys later~

✾ Palty Foam Hairdye Review 2.0 ✾

Hello dollies, today I'm going to review the Palty Foam Hairdye in Custard Beige. You can read up on my other review of the dye in Creamy Caramel by clicking here.

I'm going to use the same layout as my last review because I'm lazy and I think I did a good job of covering the main points. I got two boxes for $11.99 each at the T&T Supermarket inside Metrotown. There was a sale otherwise it'd be $15.99/box or something like that.
I was kind of shocked to see that Tsubasa wasn't on the front of the box. I thought that some brand had ripped off the Palty dye until I realized that it was still authentic. I picked this color because I wanted my hair to be lighter for summer, although I kind of have an addiction for getting my hair lighter little by little each time( ;´Д`)

Here's what my hair looked like before, and as you can see it's been a very long time since my last color job (which was when I did my last review LOL):
Ewwwww. Why do I always leave my hair looking so nasty ;___; Actually part of the reason is because my boyfriend is always "too busy" to help me do the coloring >___>

Here are the after pictures!
As you can see the color is super vibrant. My hair got a whole lot more orange-y, which I don't love but I don't hate. It's more brown in person but it catches some orange when there's an intense light shining on it. My roots got covered pretty well and I'm really happy that they're gone~ I left the color on for really long this time though, just to be sure because I forgot how long I left it last time and I REALLY wanted my hair to be lighter .__.;;

This time I left the color on my roots for 40~ minutes and then colored the rest of my hair. To prevent damage we added some water to my roots to emulsify the color so that I my roots wouldn't get ruined. We let the color sit on my ends for 15-20 minutes or so and then we shampoo'd it all out.
Coverage/Colouration: ♥♥♥♥
The coverage as you can see is still impeccable. My roots were taken care of and the overall color was very vibrant.

Packaging: ♥♥♥♥♡
Still no complaints other than the short spatula, but I suppose it can't be any longer otherwise it won't fit in the box with the rest of the equipment.

Price: ♥♥♥♥♥
The sale made this product even more worth it than last time.

Overall Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
After trying this product in two different colors with proven results, I highly recommend this line to anyone looking for a cheap and easy hair color treatment. Of course, results will vary from person to person and color to color. Overall I would definitely look into this especially if you have long hair like I do and it costs you an arm and a leg to color your hair in a salon.

One thing I'd like to note is that with this particular Palty where Tsubasa is not the model, ENGLISH INSTRUCTIONS ARE INCLUDED!!!  This is really helpful because the last time I did my hair I had to google for instructions because the ones that came in the box were strictly Japanese.
I hope you found this helpful, I know it's more or less the same as my last review but hopefully this helps in terms of "swatching" the color?(・∀・;;)

Until next time~ Stay fabulous(´∀`)

★‬ ☆ ‪★Palty Foam Hairdye Review★‬ ☆ ‪★

Hello! Today I'm going to review the Palty Foam hairdye. I got mine in Creamy Caramel from T&T Supermarket at Metrotown~ For my length of hair, I needed 2 boxes. (I read other online reviews that if you had hair past shoulder length, you'd definitely need more than 1 box.) Each box was about $15 or so I don't remember the exact price; I did get 1 of them on sale so I definitely paid less than $30 for both boxes.

***bold disclaimer: I'm not a professional colourist or anything so don't think that everything I did is applicable to everyone. I've taken a hairdressing program before so I'm well aware of the risks of leaving colour on for too long and all that jazz. Everyone's hair is different, and I've taken the time to get to know what mine can or can't handle.

The packaging~
The color swatch on top~
Inside each box comes with 1 mixing cup, 1 spatula, 1 tube of colour, 1 bottle of developer, 1 pair of gloves, and 1 packet of conditioning treatment. (All of which I don't have pictures for because I didn't think I'd have a blog up and ready yet) If you're really that interested in seeing what the box contents look like then just go to Google and search up "palty  foam hair dye" and you should get what you're looking for.

When I first started mixing the colour I noticed that it smelled really good! It smelled very sweet and fruity, you could hardly smell the chemicals. It foamed up right away, almost to the point where the cup was overflowing (you should be careful --- don't mix it too vigorously because it can get quite messy).

I asked my boyfriend to do the colouring for me since my hair is too long for me to manage the colouring job on my own. First he covered my roots (which took almost 1 whole box) and I let the colour sit for about 20 minutes because my roots are super dark.

After 20 minutes he went in and coloured the rest of my hair and I let that sit for another 20-30 minutes. Once that time was up, I rinsed all the colour out, shampooed my hair, and applied the conditioning treatment that came with the Palty. I left the conditioner on for 2 or 3 minutes like the packaging suggested and then rinsed that out after time was up. I have to say, the conditioner was amazing. It made my hair feel so smooth and soft, it was like something out of a shampoo commercial LOL.

Here are the results:
Before~
After!
The coverage was great, as you can see the black was pretty much completely covered and I was extremely surprised that it actually blended so well. However after a few washes, I could sort of see that my roots were a tiny bit darker than the rest of my hair, but still it is pretty unnoticeable.Coverage/Colouration: ♥♥♥♥♡

The packaging was cute and the idea of mixing foam in a cup was not bad but I didn't like that the spatula was too short imo. Once I started mixing and got the foam going, it got sort of difficult to mix without getting a mess on your hands as the handle barely peeked over the top of the cup. I thought that was kind of annoying but hey, maybe that won't bother anyone else and I'm just being picky.

Price: ♥♥♥♥♥
For me, this was definitely worth every last penny. If I had to go out to a salon to get my hair done, I can guarantee you I'd have to pay way more than $30.

Overall Rating: ♥♥♥♥♡
Overall I liked this product. It performed well and I didn't really have much of a hassle with application or anything other than mixing with the short spatula. My boyfriend said he actually prefers this over traditional liquid colour because it's not as messy (it never dripped or anything). I have no real complaints about it except maybe for the availability of it. I think it's rather difficult to find if you don't live near any drugstores or supermarkets that sell asian cosmetics. Ordering it online would be quite pricey since you'd have to pay for shipping and whatnot. From what I remember, the cheapest you can get it online for is around $20 a box (before taxes/shipping/etc) but I could be wrong. You might be able to find a good site/good deal on it if you look really carefully.

Anyways, that's my review! I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading~ Stay tuned for more posts ^^
