💙 Kyiiripu Inspired Makeup & New Gets 💙

Hello again angels! I've been trying to adhere to a no-buy rule I set for myself since lockdown started last March. I haven't been sticking to it 100% but it's helped me keep my finances in check and not overspend on things I don't necessarily need in the moment. So far I've only bought a few extra skincare items when restocking things I've run out on and a handful of clothing pieces here and there when a sale is happening.

I did a closet clean a while back and realized I got rid of most of my warmer sweaters because they were too frumpy on me. It's gotten really cold here in the last 2 weeks so I picked up some cute items from Forever21. I used to shop there all the time (especially when I worked there), so I was really sad to hear they were closing all their Canadian stores. I'm glad that they were able to regroup and relaunch their online store again because as much as I hate fast fashion they always had a lot of gems pop up from time to time!

I ended up picking out these cute fuzzy oversized cropped hoodies, a very adorable heart print mesh crop top and a grid pattern skirt.

The hoodies are soooo soft and cozy, I could probably live in them for the rest of winter haha. I really love the mesh crop top as well, I wasn't so sure it would fit me very nicely but it's actually so adorable and not too short in the crop (which is what I was worried about).

Of course with every try-on you know I gotta do a gal beat. This time I used a picture of Kyiiripu as inspo. I really adore her bold and clean makeup. As you guys know I don't usually do a super dark or dramatic droop so this was really fun for me to try!
I couldn't really see how she had her outer corner done so I just winged it 🤪 (looks like there's a greyish or brown shadow before she does her dark black droop but I can't be sure)
I could've done the droop cleaner by using eyeliner instead of shadow but I honestly didn't want to draw on like half an inch of black on there in case I messed up since shadow is easier to cleanup. I also applied my lower lashes horridly on my left eye so that's why you can't see them LOL oops. Y'all already know I'm messy and inconsistent 😂

Here's a selfie dump~
I think the next time I attempt an eye look like this I'll wing out my liner a bit more and do a better job emphasizing the eye bag area. I had a lot of shimmer shadow on there but that kind of got drowned out by the lashes since I don't have very big or prominent eye bags. I'd also definitely define the droop a bit better in my next try as well but overall this was a really cute look and I enjoyed recreating it!

I think I'll try to put together a Valentine's look with that mesh top and maybe a sweet or dolly eye to go with it so please look forward to that ^^;;

Thank you always for reading and I'll see you again soon!

✘ Lil Devil ✘

Hey angels! Thank you for stopping by again. Today I wanted to share this little devil look that I did. I Have always wanted to do this horn hairstyle but my hair has always been super slippery and I could never get them to look quite right. Now that my lovely locks have been through a few bleach sessions it can finally hold itself in place haha.
I did a darker purple/golden look for this because I wanted it to be a darker palette but still somewhat cute. I felt like a dark smokey eye would've been too much and it would've been more of a sexy vibe instead of a sweet and sassy vibe.
For this hairstyle I sectioned my hair into 2 small ponytails and twisted the hair onto itself to form a little cone shaped bun which I then tied into place with an elastic. The hardest part is keeping it all nice and neat because usually I end up unraveling it a little when tying the bun ;n;
Outfit breakdown:
✨Blue top: Chuu
✨White top & Skirt: Forever21
✨ Shoes: Chuu
I couldn't think of a cute outfit for this so I kinda just put on some things that I haven't worn in a while. Tbh the look kind of had more of an "e-girl" feel so that's what I used as inspiration behind the outfit. I put on heels to make it more gyaru but I think platform boots or otk boots might have looked better. I would've also paired this with a nice fluffy coat and quilted purse to finish it off and make it more ane-gyaru if I was going out!

I think the latest e-girl trend is kind of neat. It reminds me of old school scene styles which I really liked! What non-gyaru places do you get your inspiration from? Let me know in the comments :3c

Until next time~

🧡 Smokey Orange 🍊

Hello lovelies! I wanted to share a look I did last week. I'm trying to work more with colours outside my comfort zone/and in general since I was gifted a few palettes recently. I have a bad habit of being really simple with my eyeshadow which is not bad for most days but for gyaru it's kind of lacking for my preferences ^^;;

I took this time to film my first instagram reel as well! I have to say the feature is super buggy and I'm not happy that my engagement gets tanked because I refuse to use a poorly optimized and designed feature :(((

Products used:

Let me know if you enjoy these kinds of posts! I don't really like doing tutorials but this was kind of fun to put together. I wish the reels feature was more refined. I can see why people like using tiktok but I'm trying to avoid getting one as much as possible since I don't like making video content ;n;

See you next time!

Where I buy my Gyaru Lashes (with links)

Hello!! I'm back again with another gyaru post. As you know, lashes are a must-have staple to complete any gyaru look so today I'm going to be sharing my favorite lashes and where I buy them. I know a lot of gals swear by Japanese brands like Diamond Lash or Dolly Wink but when I got into gyaru I didn't want to splurge on expensive lashes in case I ruined them after a few uses so I scoured the internet for cheaper alternatives and found these gems!

Top Lashes

My all-time favorite dramatic top lashes are from Koko in the style Stella. I usually purchase them in bulk at Lady Moss when there is a sale. They're spikey and glamorous so that makes them perfect for more heavy looks. The lash band is also a bit thicker than Japanese lashes so they are more durable and beginner friendly. I'm wearing Stella in this look:

I also really adore the styles 9 to 5, Goddess, Jolie, and Queen B from this brand, but these styles are a bit more wispy and can appear more natural so I don't really recommend them for gyaru looks unless you are going for something very soft, toned down, romantic, or natural. I'm wearing Jolie in this look:

Aliexpress is another great place for sourcing lashes. I found this shop called SEXYSHEEP which sells high quality mink lashes that are super long and dramatic. These are a bit much for me and I actually don't think they look that good on me personally but if you have deeper set eyes that require bigger lashes, this may be for you. I am wearing some of the styles here (I can't remember which ones but I bought the styles 3D-20, 3D-52, GL701, GL900, GL703, and A20):

For those of you who like Japanese style lashes but don't want to shell out $20-30 for the cult favorite brands, you can also find some very decent ones on aliexpress! They come in 5 pairs per box at this shop. I bought the styles 031, 032, and 082. These are great for daily wear and more natural looks~

Lower Lashes

I'm always getting questions about lower lashes and tbh I had the same issues with them as I did upper lashes, I just didn't want to buy expensive ones that would get all torn up after 2 or 3 uses because I'm kinda unintentionally rough with them when I remove them.

I found a lot of different styles on aliexpress but my absolute favorite ones come from this shop. I have the styles M14 and M04 (worn in the first picture of this post):
I also tried these ones from ICYCHEER, they are a bit too natural for me but I think they would be nice for everyday looks to help enhance your natural lashes! (Worn in the style 082 photo above)

This brand does sell some more spikey/dramatic lashes. I like these ones in the style BE06

I don't have a close-up picture but I'm wearing them here:

Finally I have these two styles from GAM-BELLE store and yelix store. These are again, very natural but create a super sweet and dolly look when paired with the right upper lashes!
I'm wearing these in the second SEXYSHEEP photo above

That's all I have to share for now 💖 I hope this helps you in your search for the perfect gyaru lash combo. Let me know in the comments which styles are your favorite! See you next time~
