[April 2024] Back to Blonde 🎉

 

Hi angels!! At last we come to the end of my cursed dark hair arc. After a year of growth my hair was feeling a lot better and I was ready to take the plunge back to blonde.

Since the ends of my hair were a bit damaged I had to get a more layered haircut to preserve some of the length. This is the shortest my hair has been in a while but I was just happy to finally be back!! (⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝)

I don't know how to explain it but having light/bright colored hair has always made me so happy. I wish I could feel comfortable with vibrant fashion colors again but I am finding it difficult to maintain a professional image in high level corporate settings with them. I go back and forth on them all the time but I feel like blonde suits me more now as my "signature color" for this phase of my life. 

I feel like it suits my lifestyle better now to do an all-over color as a phase and then go back to blonde as my transitional shade instead of hopping from color to color. Anyways, at least I know for sure that I will hold off on going back to my natural color for as long as I can help it ( ´･ω･)

After I dyed my hair back blonde I got an itch to experiment with my makeup again. I tried a blue eyeshadow look and thought it was cute! I wish I enjoyed wearing crazy eyeshadow looks as much as I used to. I think this is the true sign of my age lmao ( ;´ - `;)

[Dec 2023] Hair Extensions

 

Hi angels! How have you been? I'm so happy to announce that this is the beginning of the end for my cursed dark hair arc because I decided to get extensions!! (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

As you know I was feeling ultra depressed with my hair and it would be a few more months before I could bleach it light again. I was looking for ways to make it feel more "me" and I ended up seeing an instagram ad for Korean nano braid extensions. 

I ended up getting some silver/blonde extensions layered into my hair and let me tell you it literally cured my depression when I saw myself in the mirror after lmao

A lot of people often ask if it's possible to be gyaru with dark hair and as someone who had dark hair for a year I can confidently say yes; but it's kind of hard I'm ngl. Having colored extensions (even if they are clip ins) help so much with creating a more effortless gal vibe. If I were to ever dye my hair dark again I would definitely utilize colored extensions for contrast and variation in my hairstyle. Just plain dark hair can be a bit one dimensional without the use of hair accessories. 

Anyways, this is my last post from 2023 and I'll be moving on to the 2024 backlog now! I didn't do a whole lot after getting extensions in mid-December. I had a quiet and sad Christmas but I'm happy to say that although the coming months were very challenging, there was light at the end of the tunnel for me! This was only the beginning.

[May 2023] Black Hair 🤪

 

Ok angels, this post officially marks the beginning of the most cursed arc of my life. I decided to go and dye my hair back to my natural color because I was tired of the upkeep and my hair was very damaged from over 10+ years of nonstop bleaching.

I actually felt like this was a cute and welcomed change because it was such a stark difference to my hair colors before. I was also going through some hair fatigue in that I couldn't decide what color I wanted but I was tired of pinks, purples and silvers.

Looking back I should've just kept it a dark blue or something but I ended up chopping a lot of the ends off and wasn't sure it would look good at that length if it was fashion colored.

I did appreciate that this color presented some different contrast so now I could style myself a bit differently. I really liked this outfit a lot, I love how my hair didn't stand out too much.

[March 2023] Hair Touchup & Agejo CO*DE

 

Happy Sunday angels! I hope you're having a great day so far. I mentioned a few posts earlier my hair color was fading a lot so I touched it up with pigment drops and a hair mask I got from my salon at the time. 

The colour I used here was mauve! I really liked touching up with this method because it restored the moisture in my hair at the same time. I used to do this myself by mixing some semi or demi permanent dye into any hair mask or deep conditioning treatment but it's so much nicer to have one made by the salon ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

Since my hair was now freshly cute and pink I thought it would be a great time to wear something agejo inspired ( •̯́ ₃ •̯̀)

I was pretty happy with how this outfit came together, especially since I didn't wear any MA*RS ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡
