🌿 New Plants, Nail Fill Mini Tutorial & MOTD/OOTD 💖

Hey angels, I hope you're having a nice day! The other week I went to the plant store and picked up some new friends for my bedroom/office. I read online that snake plants (dracaena trifasciata or sansevieria trifasciata) can act as an air purifier and regulate air flow so they're a great addition in your bedroom.

I put on a quick face and outfit for this trip~ It was really cold and rainy outside and I still had some fresh wounds from my skin biopsy so I had to wear loose fitting clothing.

I think I need to buy more oversized tshirts hehe

I ended up grabbing these two cuties, the first one is a jade jewel plant (dracaena) and of course, I was able to find a nice snake plant! I put the dracaena on my new shoe rack outside and the snake plant is on my bedside table 🥰

I was needing to do a nail fill as well so I took some quick pics for a bit of a mini tutorial in case you're interested in how I do them!

Step 1

I trimmed away all the lifted nail areas and cleaned up the cuticle. I try to make the remaining nail extension as smooth and uniform to work with as possible to make the fill easier.

Step 2

Prep the natural nail area with a dehydrator and base coat. I also apply the base coat a little over the existing nail extension because I'll be laying some product over it to blend it well.

Step 3

Apply a bead of product (whatever you wanna use, I use polygel) and fill the exposed area, making sure the shape completes with the rest of the nail extension properly then cure (you don't have to cure if you're using acrylic obviously). You can see the size of bead I usually use placed on my pinky nail! 

Step 4

Once you finish curing the fill itself is done. Now you can move on to shaping, polish, and nail art!

Step 5

Here's the finished design! I still have to improve on my shaping but I'm happy I'm getting faster so I can get both hands filled and polished in maybe 1.5-2 hours.
