Hi angels! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. I'm heading back to work next week and I'm a bit sad that I still have a lot of backlogged posts to go but I have faith I'll be able to get caught up quickly if I continue to post multiple entries a day (૭ 。•̀ ᵕ •́。 )૭
In today's post I'm sharing some older makeup looks I did and the look that made me retire from taking my usual closeup eye pics.
My boyfriend had gotten some new Ultraman shirts so I thought it would be fun if I tried to match my makeup to the shirt colors! I mostly used blue and purple (ㅅ´ ˘ `)
I liked this look so much I decided that I would try taking photos a little differently and put them into a collage format. I feltlike the previous close up photos were great for my own reference or lens review posts, but they weren't very algorithm friendly and generally gained little traction online.
I came up with this post and it seemed a lot of people liked it and saved it for inspo so I decided this was a more fun way to capture my makeup from now on.
What do you think? Do you prefer the old school closeups or this new pinterest inspo-like collage style of makeup photos? I'd be interested to hear your feedback!
That's all for this post, thanks for reading (ᵕᴗ ᵕ⁎)
I like the collage as well! <3
ReplyDeleteThank you!! ♡
DeleteHmm I think the older close up version is great for the blog so those who want to learn can study it better. It's great for reference like you said. The collage is definitely good for social media, it catches the eye / attention. I can't pick a fave tho lol I like both.
ReplyDeleteI'm sometimes torn too!! I just feel that the older version is outdated and niche now. Only a very small audience can appreciate it but the collage can still serve a similar purpose while being catered to a broader audience. The former is definitely better for lens reviews though so I might not retire that format entirely... ( ‘• ω • `)
