All My Gets in 2023 & 2024

 

Hi angels! I hope you're doing well. I've been going through all my backlog posts and finally managed to block out each one from March 2023 to now (Nov 2024). I totally neglected to include any hauls or gets posts so I figured I'd combine them all into one master post instead of making individual ones to make it easier for me. I really like reading other people's haul posts so I hope this is fun for you to read =͟͟͞͞(꒪ᗜ꒪‧̣̥̇)

The first thing I bought in Jan 2023 was some makeup from Sephora. I've been really into purple blush (and still am tbh) so I picked up this one from Morphe. They were also having a sale on Fenty at the time so I got the highlighter duo & matchstix to try. I was also in the market for a new concealer so I got this Lys one. It's nice and creamy & doesn't oxidize horribly! I would definitely purchase it again.

At this point I'm still working on filling out my jfashion closet so I did a mercari haul. I focused a lot on girly style pieces that I could also wear to work. The Alba Rosa bag has been one of my favorite gets! I've used it for the beach and it's also spacious enough to be my laptop bag for work (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

My other favorite item here is the fuzzy bunny hoody which you've already seen in some of my posts.

Heading into April/May I stocked up on some travel sized haircare as I was about to go on another work trip. I also tried out this tanning lotion but it ended up turning me orange so I had to return it. I literally looked like a cheeto for 2 weeks cause I don't do patch tests LMAO (* °ヮ° *)

I actually really enjoyed this gisou gift set but the only thing I'd really repurchase is the hair mask and leave-in treatment. The shampoo and conditioner were fine and inoffensive but I wouldn't buy them again because of the price.

Next I got a few items from Emi. She was closing up her sales and I managed to snag this setup and platform boots.

She also had this cute Shibuya 1999 book that I absolutely needed. It's a photobook that documents the gyaru boom in the 90's and I love it so much!

Next I got more items for the office. I am really leaning into the onee/OL look because it's comfortable to wear all day and socially acceptable in the workplace ᕙ(  •̀ ᗜ •́  )ᕗ

I also found this tracksuit for dirt cheap and added it to my cart immediately. It's my favorite casual/nail salon outfit! I love the lace detailing on the side (ㅅ •᷄ ₃•᷅ )

It was a good time to be shopping because I also picked up this iconic Glavil necklace and some excellent condition blue Nikes! I felt so lucky (♡ˊ͈ ꒳ ˋ͈)

I've been struggling with makeup products that I really enjoy so I decided to try out Judydoll. I ended up loving basically everything I got but especially the contouring palette and now it's reached holy grail status for me!!

My friend Rachel was doing a closet cleanout and I managed to snag some dream gets! I got this dia belt I've wanted ever since I got into gyaru.

Next I go this adorable MA*RS setup and dress. I love these so so much and they're going to stay in my collection forever!!!!

I did a quick lash restock and I could not believe I got these Mizukitty ones but I would later learn the bottom lashes would be lost to time. Whatever glue they used to hold them in the packaging had changed due to age and they literally disintegrated the lash band so I couldn't remove any of them without the lash completely falling apart (ᗒᗣᗕ)

I wasn't looking to get anymore clothes at this time but I spotted this Datura black fur coat and had to get it because I had the same coat in 2 other colors already and it's literally my favorite "fancy" coat I own!!

A little while later I needed to expand on my work wardrobe for the winter so looked for more cardigan/sweater type items.

My absolutely favorite item in this batch was this iconic Gyda fur hoody. It's sooooo warm and cozy I've just been living in it.

I wanted some more mature shoe options but I quickly learned that Japanese shoe sizing can be incredibly variable between brands. Unfortunately none of these ended up fitting me very well so I put them up for sale (づ•́ ᵔ •̀)づ

I got an email saying my yesstyle points were going to expire so I used them for another CBeauty haul. This time I tried out products from Flortte and honestly I was so surprised by the quality of everything. I found a lot of new favorites but unfortunately after this order it seems that all of their products have been removed from Yesstyle for me so now I have to find another place to order from if I want their products (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥ )

In 2023 I made a commitment to invest in my skincare more. I bought the Medicube Age-R Ussera Deep Shot device as I was looking into hifu (high frequency) treatments. I loved it so much I decided to get the Age-R Booster Pro when it released. This is a multifunctional device that includes different technologies like microcurrent and EMS all in one device.

I bought it in a bundle with all of the products above and with consistent use, I've seen a huge difference in the texture and condition of my skin. I will note that I have also been getting masseter botox from my dentist to treat my bruxism and I also opted to do chin filler so the slimming effect you're seeing in the photos below are from everything combined and not indicative of solely using the devices mentioned above.

I have a more in-depth post about my filler and botox journey in the backlog so I won't talk about them much now but you can see after almost a month of consistent daily use, there's a lot less redness and uneven tones in my skin. My pores are also a lot smaller!

I've also tested not using the devices as consistently and noticed that the results are still present but not to the same degree of intensity. If I go down to say 1-3 days a week, I notice a lot more uneven texture and tone showing up again though not as much as in the "before" photo.

This is one of the last mercari hauls of 2024. I loved the Gyda fur hoody so much I hunted for the same one in black. Again I am obsessed and wear it all the time hehe ♡⸜(˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)⸝♡

I've been really into zebra print so I got this cute top, sadly it is too small for me so I'm sending it to Ray so it can go to a good home (˶◜ᵕ◝˶)

Same with this bra, it looked deceptively well fitting in the photos and description but when it arrived I was shook at how tiny it was lmao.

Honestly there were very few misses in this haul. I love every single item I got and am really happy with where my gal wardrobe is. I would love to get more dia style tops but I think I might be growing out of the conventionally popular gal styles and leaning more towards お姉ギャル/セレブ/姉ageha vibes just because it fits my current lifestyle more.

Speaking of my current lifestyle, I'm actively working on jumping into the next tax bracket so I decided I wanted to separate my gyaru and work wardrobes. I'm hoping this will make me look and feel more professional in a corporate tech setting. I started building out a quiet luxury/European business casual inspired closet and some things I really lacked were plain basics (tshirts, jeans, trousers) and comfortable heels.

I've been lurking the r/handbags subreddit for a while and saw lots of mentions around the brand Charles & Keith. I decided to try them out and I picked up 3 pairs of shoes and a handbag on sale.

Everything came really quickly and I was surprised by the quality of each item. The shoes are all very comfortable and exactly what I was looking for. The bag is the perfect size for me and I adored the color! I will definitely order from them again ( ദ്ദി ˙ᗜ˙ )

I got another notification about expiring yesstyle credits so that takes us to my last skincare & makeup haul of the year. I got a bunch of favorites restocked but the highlight of this haul was the Clio Founwear cushion and the Espoir Dewlike Jello Glowrizer. These two products have created the ultimate flawless base for my skin and have officially joined my holy grail club!!

I'm also really enjoying the Judydoll glosses so I got a bunch of colors to replace my current collection of expiring lip products ( ◡̀_◡́)ᕤ
