Hello again, I hope you're all having a fantastic day. It started to rain again here in Vancouver, but unlike the gloomy weather I've been quite cheerful these days. I'm almost a month into my bcp and I feel a lot more emotionally stable. I don't think I've felt this way in at least 4-5 months and it feels great to not be sad for no reason lol.
2 weeks ago I had to say farewell to a dear friend of mine. Unfortunately after a long wait, he was ultimately not able to get his visa to work here and he had to return home. I didn't really want to think about it at the time so here I am so many weeks later finally confronting my feelings about the whole situation. I think that too many bad things have happened to me in my life so it takes a while for things like this to really hit me emotionally.
I met Santiago 2 years ago when I started game design school. We pretty much became best friends instantly because we're awesome and loved a lot of the same things. We saw eye to eye on a many things and shared the same humor, especially when it came to games, music, movies and anime.

Post movie A&W goodness |
We both worked really hard to finish school, in fact the final project piece in our portfolios was originally an idea we had both worked on and pitched to the class together. But due to complications in the class, I ended up on another team (although I was proud of how far he and his team were able to mold and shape the project into something new and fun).

After graduation we both tried to find work in the industry, and honestly I wouldn't have my job right now if it wasn't for him. I owe you so much Santi and you mean a lot to me. I'm sad that you are gone for now but I wish you all the best. Work hard and I know that you'll be able to accomplish anything you set your mind to. I hope to visit you in Mexico soon but if I don't get the chance I will definitely come party with you in Japan. I miss you so so much already. I'm really thankful to have met you and I hope that you never change. I look forward to your visit over the holiday season, see you very soon.

On a lighter note, I went to a friend's birthday party last week. We went for Korean BBQ and it was awesome cause we haven't had a big get together like this in a while. Here are some pictures/video from the night:
