Essie Grow Stronger Nail Strengthener Review

Hello my dear readers! Today I'm going to review the Essie Grow Stronger Nail Strengthener. I bought this on sale at London Drugs for around $10 on boxing day. The nail strengthener I used before was the Sally Hansen Green Tea + Bamboo Nail Strengthener. I can do a review on that one later if you guys want~
This is what the packaging looks like~ You can buy this from most drugstores that sell Essie products like Shoppers Drug Mart, London Drugs, Superstore etc. The price will vary everywhere.
It looks like a milky pink but it goes on clear
I thought I'd give you some history on my nails first. I'm not one of those people that go out of their way to eat/drink lots of things that are supposed to make your nails stronger. I have a pretty bad diet and basically eat whatever's in the fridge lol. I do try for veggies and juices though!

I used to have a lot of milk when I was a kid, but now that I'm older I've stopped drinking so much. My nails have never been able to grow out because they would always chip and peel. I used to cut my nails but after a while I started filing them down instead. I feel like filing them keeps them growing and doesn't damage them as bad as cutting them but that's just me.
So before I started the application I filed my nails down. You can probably still see some of the nail bits that haven't been filed away completely. Here's what they look like:
You can see on my first and middle finger that there is some chipping/peeling going on. I try not to peel my nails so to stop them from peeling I try to buff the peels out with a nail file/buffing tool if that makes any sense at all. Below is after applying the nail strengthener. The product looks like a milky pink, but as you can see it doesn't really show up as anything on my nails.
The product filled in the cracks and smoothed out the nail. Plus it makes them look so clean and fresh! Since the application I have applied polish and re-filed my nails once. This is what they looked like after removing the polish. This was about a week after the application:
After that I reapplied the strengthener as a base and did my Valentines nails. This is what they look like today as I'm typing this out to you (about a week and a half after the above picture). Please excuse the bits of pink/glitter left over from my last coat of polish~ Also I'm sorry the last few pics came out blurry >___<;;
As you can see, they've grown quite a bit. I know it's not the same hand but the chipping is gone on my right hand as well (same chipping/peeling but on different fingers). They're really strong right now, they don't bend or break when I try to do things like open a pop can! Now I can finally have the pretty long nails I've always dreamed of having!
Packaging: ♥♥♥♥♥
I love the way Essie polishes are packaged. They're small but hold a lot of product and don't rip you off like those other polishes with the thick glass bottles. I also like that it's not one of those funky shaped bottles, it just makes storing them a lot easier imo.

Price: ♥♥♥♥♡
I think that this product is reasonably priced for what it does. I'd love for it to be cheaper but there's quite a lot of product for what you're getting so I can't really complain. I'm fine with just getting it when I see it on sale, but even at full price I think it's still worth the purchase.

Application: ♥♥♥♥
The application process was easy, The product is not too watery or too thick and spreads nicely over the nails. It dries pretty fast so you can get on with your color polish right away if you're using this as a base. The brush is the same as any Essie polish brush.

Overall: ♥♥♥♥
I would definitely repurchase this product. In fact, I think it will be my go-to base coat from now on. It helps my polishes go on smoothly and minimize staining. Of course the big benefit of this product is that it has helped my nails grow back stronger and healthier. I probably won't be using any other nail strengthener from now on. I love this stuff. Also it looks so cute in the bottle! It's my favorite shade of pink~
I hope you found this review helpful! Thank you so much for reading~

EOS Pop C (G-204) Dark Brown Lens Review

Hello! Today I'm going to be review the EOS (G-204) Pop C Dark Brown lenses. I got these a while back but never really had the chance to wear them because I'm trying to give my eyes a rest from CL's like my eye doctor suggested. I wore them for my anniversary dinner with my boyfriend, so I thought it would be a perfect time to do a review on them! Also, this is my first lens review so it's probably not going to be perfect. Please let me know what I could add/do differently next time so that it's more informative!
Here's what they look like in the packaging with flash. I got them from a facebook group so they didn't come in a box or anything, just the bottles. Some basic information on these lenses:
Diameter: 14.5 mm
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Duration: 1 year disposable
Here's the pic spam. I'm sorry these might not be as good as other review blogs/there's a lot of pictures but again, it's my first review. (I suck at taking pictures of my eye apparently lol)

Color ♥♥♥♥♡
The lenses look really natural and dolly in person. They're pretty dark I think, at least on my brown eyes, and may not show up very vivid unless you have lighter colored eyes than mine. My only wish is that the brown was a bit more noticeable. They're still very pretty though!

Design ♥♥♥♥♡
I think the design for these lenses is very natural. As you can see in the 3rd picture, the outer ring actually blends very well with my natural eye color.

Enlargement ♥♥♥♥♡
These lenses really gave my eye a sweet dolly effect. 14.5mm isn't a huge difference in my opinion just because I've had bigger lenses, but they're not bad! The enlargement is more natural than those lenses with the black rings so I highly recommend these lenses for those who don't like the look of the black rings.

Comfort ♥♥♥
I usually have a prescription with my lenses so this is my first time wearing planos. I'm not sure if it was because of the prescription but when I first put these on it felt like something was in my eye (like an eyelash) but then after a while that feeling went away. It's not because they were dirty, I cleaned them very thoroughly before use. I did experience a little bit of dryness but that was not until very late into the night. One thing to note though, when I took them out I noticed that there was a lot of redness in a ring shape where the lens sat on my eye. I think it might be because of the curvature of the lenses; I've been told that if the lenses don't sit well on the curve of your eye it could cause discomfort, so maybe that's the reason why they felt weird. I should probably be more careful about my lens selection in the future lol.

Overall ♥♥♥♥♡
These lenses are very natural and will give you a great dolly effect. The enlargement and design are great for those with naturally light/medium brown eyes. If you're any darker you might not see a huge difference in your eyes other than the enlargement. If you're looking for something more dramatic I would definitely suggest you try a different lens. Other than that I think these lenses are very pretty! You can find them on PinkyParadise, Lensvillage and other popular lens sites.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you found this review helpful. Please let me know if there's anything I can add/do better in my next lens review! See you later~

Diamond Lash Glamorous Eye Review

Hi again! As promised, today's post will be a review on Diamond Lash's Glamorous Eye. I bought these a little while ago from the gyaru_sales facebook page and I've been loving them ever since I got them.
This is what they look like in the packaging~ I found them hard to get out of the package at first because of the adhesive, but with a little patience I was able to get the first pair out, as pictured on the left:
As you can see they are very dramatic and voluminous. I don't do dramatic looks very often, which is why this review took so long to get out. I think these lashes are gorgeous, but they're more of a special occasion lash to me~
For lash reviews, I've decided to break the rating down to three core categories: Design, Comfort, and Durability. I'm still on my first pair and I've worn them twice so far, but for both times I wore them for an extremely long time (at least 6 hours).

Design ♥♥♥♥♥
These lashes are so pretty! They're very dramatic and full looking. I think the "spikey" design of the lashes really helps bring a bit of "oompf" to your eye look. I can see the lashes really well even when I have a darker look going on. They're not overpowered by the rest of my makeup because of how long they are. They really do balance out an intense look!

Comfort ♥♥♥♥♡
As I said earlier, I wore these for quite a long time. I took a heart off because they're pretty massive lashes so they can feel quite tiring to hold up after a few hours. I prefer not to cut these because they help give you a really big and dramatic eye look with their full length, perfect for Gyaru.

Durability ♥♥♥
These are definitely some of the most durable lashes I've ever used. I know I've only used them twice, but I can tell already that this first pair will last me a very long time. I usually clean my lash bands after I take them off, removing the glue so the next application will be cleaner. Sometimes when I do this (however gently I try to be) some of my cheaper lashes will just fall apart or get gimped out of shape. For some the band will start to feel limp and soft, which is the indicator to toss them out in most cases as they will not hold the shape anymore. The glue is very easy to clean off these bands and they're actually still really super stiff lol. I know that bothers some girls, but for me I love it!

Overall Rating
I think that even though these lashes generally cost a bit more, they are well worth the investment. The design is absolutely stunning and the quality is really good. I've even read up from some other girls that their Diamond Lashes can last up to 1 month of every day wear before showing signs of misshaping!
To wrap up this post, I've got some shameless camwhoring to show you of me wearing these lashes. Please don't comment on the pose, I was really tired and super obsessed with my new cardigan so I guess I was trying to show that off LOL. I don't even. Just be nice okay? ヽ( ̄д ̄;)ノ

Thank you for reading! I hope you found this review helpful~ I'll see you in my next post. Bye bye~!
